I'm looking to optimize the handling in my '94 MTX. Everything from body roll to stopping power is what I'm considering.

My car is a street car, but I plan on going to some shows as well; provided that it is as low as I think it's going to be... and who knows, in the future this might be a semi-track car from time to time.

Either way, here's what's on my list thus far; if you have any suggestions, please advise!!

17x7 Enkei CDR9 Rims
Yokohama AVS ES100 225/45ZR17 Tires (Temp:A, Tract:AA, Load:94, Speed:W)
PBR Dual-piston front Calipers
13" Front Rotors (solid)
Stainless steel brake lines w/ Red Line Brake fluid
Carbon Metallic pads
IPT Koni/Eibach Coilover kit
24mm Front Anti-Sway Bar w/ Bushings
26mm Rear Anti-Sway Bar w/ Bushings
Poly Rear Endlink Kit
Front Strut Tower Brace
Rear Strut Tower Brace
Rear Reinforced H-Brace
Aluminum Subframe bushings

Well that's all I have thus far... though I have a few questions:

1) Are rear rotor upgrades possible? And if so, what's the largest rotor combo that I can go with in the back without getting new calipers?

2) I know I'm missing some bushings somewhere in there... anyone know what it is I'm missing?

Thanks,
Dave Falconer

If you really drop it down, the steering geometry will get all kinds of funky. Major bumpsteer issues. Not a huge deal on the track, but gets old really quick on the street.

Rear brakes can go as large as 11.6 with the stock calipers for certain. Maybe larger.

Sounds good. Do you have the IPT coilover kit? Not made anymore. Midwest sho has a kit. You can put 11.6" in the rear with the upgrade kit. Midwestsho has it. You need calipers from a sho that had vented rears for the 11.6 rotors. Like the 91 model.

You can put TPR (thermoplastic rubber) bushing in the locating links. The ones that go from the frame to the knuckles. You can also put TPR in the lower control arm bushings. Your gonna need the GM or BMR adjustable rear control arms, if you want to drop it alot, to be able to adjust your camber on the rear wheels. Subframe connectors, don't see those in your list.

That's all I can think of now.

I'm thinking 1.5-2" drop in the Rear, 2-3" drop in the Front.

I already have the IPT Coilover kit... well, it's in the mail and I should have it any day now :thumb:

Awesome! I didn't even notice MidWestSHO had the rear upgrade kit :bonk:

You should be good at that kind of ride height. I ran into difficulties when I had it at this height;

I am not sure how much lower than stock I was in inches, as I had Eibachs prior to that and the only measurements I took were to make sure it was level. I can tell you I have raised it up about 1.75" since those pics were shot. In addition to the previously mentioned bumpsteer problems (and my steering rack is already shimmed btw) I was also having tire to body contact at all four corners. This was with the 500/350 spring combo, under hard high speed cornering.
