I know that I'm going to do it Saturday anyway. When I replaced my radiator last night, everything seemed fine; this morning I checked everything out before starting the day, and I noticed that I must have crimped the lower transmission cooler hose a bit. It looks as if fluid would go through, but a bit more slowly.

So my questions are these:

1. No leaks -- If I ignore this, will my tranny suffer?
2. Since I already refilled with new freon, when I do change the hose, is there a way to stop the flow of fluid until I replace the hose?
3. This lower hose, does it flow into the radiator from the tranny or into the tranny from the radiator.

Thanks guys.

(Oh, Admin folks -- great work on the new look! You'll note something extra in your Christmas stocking.)

Well first the tranny cooler hose has nothing to do with Freon, that is the AC. Second, if the pressure in your line is decreased yes your tranny will suffer. If the engine is off when you replace the hose no fluid will be being pumped but a bit will drain out, just tilt the hose up and that should slow or stop the fluid oozing out till you are ready to attach the new hose.
