Had my silver SHO since May 1st, has just over 5500 miles on it and I can say this car turns me on. Sure it may not be perfect in some peoples eyes, but from age 20, our son to age 86, my father they love this car. The style, performance and comfort is first rate. The motor could make more noise, but its made to keep most people happy. Sorry to go on, but this car is my favorite, and I have had some good ones!!!

I like it as well, the only sadness I feel is two things: (1) I would have liked to compare it to a Fusion Sport but no dealer I could find anywhere nearby ever had any in stock, and (2) when I see the I guess it is "new sync nav systems" or w/e such as in the 2011 Ford Flex commercial that is on all the time, I feel like I wish I could upgrade my interface somehow. Not that the 2010 looks bad it just looks, well, 2010 compared to the new ones. Watch the flex commercial you'll understand!

Good to hear you enjoy your rides. I will begin to love mine when it arrives. Ordered a couple weeks ago. As for the Fusion Sport, I drove one and it is sooo cramped compared to a SHO and does not even come close to being better in any category except gas mileage.

I agree, the Fusion does feel small compared with the Taurus. My wife has a 2010 Lincoln MKZ and when I drive it or move it around, it feels MUCH smaller than my SHO. I also don't need to worry about clipping mirrors pulling her car out of the garage like I do with the SHO.

In the defense of her MKZ, her car is primarily responsible for considering and ultimately trading in my G35 for a new SHO.

I also traded a G35 for my SHO. My G was a 2005 and was a great car but I wanted something bigger and especially the trunk. And I found the Infiniti M too expensive. I also had an original 1989 SHO that was my all-time favorite car. Well I also love this car. Just hit 14K miles in a little over 6 months with "0" problems. Fully loaded and getting the brakes and BLIS TSB's done. My brakes are fine but new pads after 14K miles, well who can refuse that? My BLIS is overly sensitive so I hope the TSB works. I have the same experience where my son to my pop-in-law both love this car too. Way to go Ford!

Sounds like pretty similar experiences to me, as far as car choice. I had a 2007 G35S (sport), seemed like a shame to trade it in with only 12k miles on the odometer, but after test driving the SHO there was no way I was going to enjoy the G as much again. I was looking for something that I could at least safely drive in rain, didn't need to take on a 2 hour roadtrip when it needed warranty/recall work, and could haul enough stuff so my wife would let us take it on weekend family trips. I had a 1993 SHO and later a 1998 SHO which I enjoyed, but they were no comparison to this 2011. I only have 2500 miles on my 2011 and so far no issues.

Good to hear that you folks love the cars!!

FWIW, after owning the LGT for 6 years now, to me AWD is the only way to go for anywhere other than the extreme SW USA that never sees rain or snow. I am currently looking for a used AWD vehicle to replace my wife's Del Sol.

Yeah, I miss the ability to do an occasional smoky burnout in the LGT, but being able to use near full power in the wet or other bad conditions makes it worth it. I didn't realize how much I liked it until I started driving the white '89 SHO as a commuter vehicle.

I've seen the new "Ford Touch" system as I believe it is called and you're right, it's REALLY cool!
This really ****** me off because I thought that the SHO had all the latest, greatest technology to appease me and now this system shows up.....
Oh well, I guess that there's always something nicer around the corner

It DOES have a few more capabilities but it doesn't add all that much...and have you seen the steering wheel to accommodate all of those functions? WOW! There are more buttons there than most high end audio receivers...LOL.... There are two four way buttons (one on each side) and some other selector buttons around them.....

It adds the ability to select from an iPod from the display rather than only voice, an input jack system to play external devices, and I'm not sure entirely how this works but you can turn the car into a hotspot using your cell phone so passengers can access the wireless internet....Oh and it has an SD card slot I think....

I just got my SHO on August 14th, and I am still in love with it. Heck, I'm on of those old guys who still haven't figured out how to use the Sync completely, so I am not disappointed at all with it. I had a Lincoln Mark LT before the SHO and I really think the SHO is a great car and I am loving everything about it. :)

Wow someone who actually started a thread "Love my SHO." I've literally thought about using mine as target practice.
