Well i was drvin home, w/ 4 people in the car, and I went over a bump. Next thing I know, my interior lights come on, and I hear my doors lock. 10 secs later and me going WHAT, the lights go off, and the doors, unlock and lock again. So I stop to see what it could have been, and well I click to unlock the doors, and nothing. I try the passanger side, and that doesnt work either. So I get out of my car, and try the keyless on the door, Nothing. Then I try the remote, and Nothing. Even my Panic button doesnt do a thing. I am totally lost on this one. Any Ideas ?

The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) is located on the driver's side, in the trunk, on the back of the wall behind the rear seat. Remove the black cardboard cover to access.

You may have had a connector come loose (if you're lucky).

Power for the RKE is supplied by a 40A fuse in the engine compartment fusebox. The same fuse also appears to run the power seats. If they work, the fuse is good.

Well, I looked back there and sure enough there were all the internals laying on the trunk floor. So I go to pick them up and put them back in, and all I am hearing is a clicking noise. So I move the boards to where they arent touching each other and my trunk light goes off along with all my other interior lights. Well I put them back in the box, and I get my door locks back, but no keypad or remote (I am assuming you would have to reprogram them) The interior light arent on either. Well I decide that I want interior lights too so I remove the peice of paper that I had between them to make the clicking stop, and they touch. Well I get the lights back, but only if I hold in it a certain spot. Suddenly, my horn starts to go and the interior lights are flashing, and the doors are locking. Talk about being afraid that your car was possessed. So I unplugged everything. But I guess the question now is, How do I get the lights and the doors locks to work ? I am assuming the boards shouldnt touch at all, yet in the box they are very very close, and the lights only worked if it was in that one spot ? And did I fry something that my car freaked out on me ?

Thanks

Well, I crawled back into my trunk, and plugged the chips back in.. All that happens is my horn goes and stays on, the lights flicker, the doors lock and unlock and the boards just clicks really fast. Nothing else. I think I need a new set of boards, cause these I am almost sure are shot. Unless there is a way to fix it, does anyone have a set from a car that is being parted ?
