loosing pressure at the rail

i bought a fuel pressure tester, attatched it and key on car off it shoots to 40 instantly drops to 0, car running it holds at 30? any clues i read the posts about check valves fuel pumps fuel pressure regulators, coils WTF does this most likely sound like.... ill check one more time if it holds at 30 after i shut it off... ford said key on car off it should be 37 -40 car running 30-40

yeah just checked key on car off it went to like ten this time then right to 0, started it even went fdor a ride it was 25 backing out of the driveway going down the road its at 30 punched it turned around punched it again pulling in the driveway it stalled...

If this is a stock fuel system, you have a bad "check ball" in your fuel pump.
The only way to fix it is to replace the entire fuel pump.
You can get away with driving the car "as is" if you cycle the key a few times before starting it. This will help "prime" the fuel system and allow it to start on the first try.

Don't feel bad, as a LOT of SHO's and regular Tauri suffer from this.
