Alright, I have worked together with Mitchell (Jelloslug) and have came up with a write-up to install a digital cluster in a 90-91 SHO, this can also be done in a 92-95 SHO but I have not had the chance to try it out on the wife's 92.

Here is the write-up, it is in a PDF format with pictures. I have included most wiring pinouts, what their function is and the factory pinouts at the end of the file.

Now, there might be a few details that we overlooked, but it is the most complete Digital dash swap document out there. Many thanks again to Mitchell to pioneering this swap.

Is there only one set of gauges that works in the SHO? If so, what is it? Thanks, -Joe

wow, impressive swap. :hail: Thank you to both of you for the information on how to do this. ;)

I may do this at some point, I have always liked the digital dash.

Scangauge II can read your fuel economy using the connections at the OBD test port. Anyone found a module in the donor car that would act is the brains for this? I wouldn't think it would be from the main ecm.

Lengthen and move wires from one connector to the other... you mean to physically remove the wire from one connector or to solder in a bride wire so both wires are connected to eachother and both connectors?

Being that these cars are not OBDII, you cannot connect a scangauge up and read the fuel economy from these cars.

When I connected my wires, I physically cut the Analog connectors off and soldered in the digital connectors, some wires had to switch sides (eg, some that went on the left, went to the right, some that were on the right went to the center connector)

You could leave the Analog connectors on and splice in the digital ones, but then you would be fighting for room behind the cluster.

Just curious, I had an '89 Continental with the digital dash, the speedo on that would stop at 85 (even though the display had the third digit for km) with this swap does the digital speedo go higher than 85?

the 92+ digital gauges go to 115 something like that. when i did this in my 91 i used a green face off an older unit and the guts of the newer unit. i'm rarely, if ever, going to see 115 but it is nice not to have it stop at 85.

I know this thread is extremely old, but does anyone have a copy or link where I can get a copy of the PDF ? The Alberta SHO Club link appears to be dead.

Thanks!
