Tried searching but couldn't find exact answers. I went to the livernois website and only saw stage 1 - 3 tunes. ALL of them are listed at 499. Is this correct? I would think the price would go up by stage. How much is the stage 4 tune? But man 500 bucks you can't go wrong...pretty good deal.
So I see you can flash back the stock tune via the SCT. BUT the dealership can see how many times it's been flashed. What exactly do they see though? Just that it's been flashed? I mean for all they know another dealership could've been servicing the car and reflashed the pcm ya know? I'm just wonderin what exact details it may tell them. Reason I'm worried about this is because it's my wifes daily driver and has an extending 100k mile warrany.

Also if I bought say the stage 4, would they also send me the stage 1 - 3? Not that it matters really I guess since I'm sure we'd just be using stage 4 the whole time but just wondering. lol
Thanks in advance!

The livernios tunes are 499 for all them. I think stage for you may have to ask for but, same price. Not sure what stage 1 is, I only have 2-4.
As far as the dealer being able to see if it has been flashed. Is debatable some say no some say yes they can. But I would never take my car in with a tune on it, not going to give them a reason to go looking for it.

You have the srt platform stuck in your mind. It's okay as I had two of them and a caliber srt-4 so I understand. The stages only change the programming on the computer, so it's not like the neon where you get a new pcm, fuel injectors, wga, fuel pump, map/tip sensors, and turbo. When you pay $499 they will give you stage 1-4. You load it on the tuner and flash your car.

Others have confirmed that the techs can see if the car has been flashed. Ford has sent memos to them showing what to look out for when a SHO comes in for warranty repairs, so unless you have a good dealership then you could be screwed if you have problems. That's the only thing holding me back from ordering a tune. On the bright side nobody has been reporting any issues with the tune besides an oil light being stuck on, but nobody has put serious miles on their car either.

Oh I know it's not like the Mopar kits. :) I have a DSP for my Stage 3 NSRT-4 and plan on flashing my E85 tune to very soon (once I get my return line and bottle neck fix installed) so I'm very familiar with the hand held tuning stuff. So I know I'll just get the tune emailed...then load it onto the SCT and flash it to the car.
I'm just unsure about what exactly they see...just the flashes? I definitely don't plan on taking the car into service with a tune flashed...I'd flash the stock tune back on it. My dealership is actually a Lincoln dealership...so maybe they're not getting specific Ford posts or even paying attention to them which would help me out in my case. :)
I'm thinking we'd be save to go with a tune and then flash the stock tune back to it if any problems occur. Even if it's a squeeky chair I'd flash back the stock JIC. :)
I almost have her talked into getting it though. It's HER DD so she makes the final decision on what mods go on it. :hail::angelnot::evilgrin:

Thank you for your interest in our products!

We sell the tuner and all stages for $499.99.

We do have a stage 4 that I can send as well.

The stage 1 has transmission modifications with reduced torque management.

The stage 2 and 3 tunes are identical, except the stage 2 has torque management and the stage 3 does not.

The Stage 2 has raised boost, increased timing, and transmission modifications with reduced torque management.

The Stage 3 has raised boost, increased timing, and transmission modifications with no torque management.

The stage 4 is a more aggressive "run at your own risk" tune and has more boost, more timing, and no torque management. Our tuner Dan said he would recommend higher than 93 octane with the stage 4, however I have several customers running it daily with 93 octane and no issues.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you

Regards,

Rick LeBlanc

Hey Rick,
Quick question for you : Why do you run your car only on stage 2? Are you affraid of longer time effect on your car if runned with stage 3 or 4? Thanks Rick,

Steve

Can't speak for Rick, but I have been running Stage 2 and do have the other stages. Stage 2 has plenty of performance and the car still has great street manners. I haven't tried any of the other stages simply because, I have been 110% pleased with everything that Stage 2 offered. I am not afraid of running any of the other tunes, just totally satisfied with Stage 2.

hi guys , i ordered the livernois tunes , i managed to hold myself back just a little (would normally go to the max and back from there)

however i went straight to the stage 3 tune , all i could say for about 1 hour , after getting out of the car was omg OMG OOOMMMGGG , i took the wife for a blast in it , and funnily enough she could only say the same thing for a while

dont get me wrong, the sho is a fast car to start with , but once tuned to near perfection by livernois it handles and accelerates so much better , also not sure if this is part of the tune , but i dont think it torque steers as much as it used to ,or maybe i am much more used to countering it lol .

i am a tuning newbie , i contacted rick and after a few email tennis sessions (on my part, because of lack of my understanding ) i ordered the tunes ,

rick thank you so very much for your help and the amazing work you guys do

you turned my 737 into concorde lol

Steve,

We are always "playing" with the tune in our car, it currently has the stage 4 in it.

Darreli has always ran the stage 3 and 4 tunes and never had a single issue.

Thank you,

Rick

Told you that would happen, those LMS guys have done a great job, I've never been happier with any performance money I've ever spent then with their tunes, and I have been purchasing performance stuff since the 60's!

Nate,

Thank you for your order!

The tuner is sent blank. Once you receive it, please email me your strategy code, serial number from your SCT device, mods (if any) and what octane fuel you run. My email is [email protected]

Thank you
