I installed mine today about an hour after I took it out of storage :). I also installed LED reverse lamp bulbs. I'm having some battery issues right now, so no pics of them lit up yet, but I did get them to light before the battery completely flat-lined.

I can't wait to see them at night. :dribble:

Those look awesome Typhoon. I almost resurrected this thread the other day demanding pics of SHOs that should be out of hibernation by now. I'm glad you posted. :thumb:

Mine leaked after being on since February. First the left side last week, and then the right side this week. Been on since beginning of March. CarID is swapping them out for me though, and I shall do something to seal them up a little better. BTW, I cut a small slit in the rubber plugs that are on the back of the cars body, and mounted my resistor blocks inside the trunk under the carpet. The wires are plenty long. Here are some pics. I do think they look really good on the car, and make it stand out a little more from all the other tauruses out there.

I did the same thing. I wouldn't say the wires are plenty long, though. The blocks need to be pretty close to the grommets/plugs in order to have enough wire sticking out to connect it. I mounted mine on the outboard side of the plugs, and sealed them back up with some silicone when I was done.

I'll try to remember to take a picture.

Thanks for the update. After hearing that, I'll prob runs some RTV or epoxy around mine, just to be safe.

I thought about doing the same thing with the resistor block, but it's a rubber dipped, sealed circuit, so I just mounted it on the back of the trunk sheetmetal. I'll prob wrap the plug with some e-tape to just to be safe as well.

Yup that's pretty much exactly what I did. I fooled around with a few different spots before I decided on in the trunk; I figured that if the tape somehow came loose the resistors couldn't go very far if they were in the trunk.

I don't know how I just saw this thread, but I might order a set of these. They increase light and keep a stock appearance. From what I've seen on this thread, they appear to be of good quality.

OH. MY. GAWD. :omgsho:
Can you post more pics of a overall view? They look awesome on a white SHO close up.

So my mom asked me what I wanted for my birthday which is coming up soon. I bet you can guess what I asked for. :dribble:

frosho you should seal your trunk up if you haven't sealed it from the outside. You can see the water stains in your pictures. All three shos i've owned leaked in the same areas.

It's fixed. ;) I spent a decent amount of time last year locating and sealing all of the leaks. My previous SHO leaked too, so I knew to check for them. Thanks for looking out, though!

A couple moar piktars for Streetlight:

P6210009

P6210010

P6210004

P6210011

And another artsy-fartsy one because I was playing with the macro setting...
P6210013

Not too bad for an ancient point-and-shoot.
