I need a new throwout bearing for my SHO, what is the best deal I can get on one? Am I better off going with the ceramic one?

Should I get the ceramic one for 95 bucks or the ceramic one for 155 bucks with the quill sleeve?

The $155 all metal TOB is probably overkill for a stock or near-stock car. The $95 Ceramic should be more than enough.

While I promise you that the quality of the ceramic TOB from Josh is 100% excellent and you won't be sorry you bought it, if cost is of concern to you, the stock TOB can also be found (or ordered) at most auto parts stores for around $25.00. It comes complete with the TOB, quill and I think the nylon pin. BCA (Fed. Mogul) 614118 is the part number. If you order one, make sure you tell them you want the kit. They also sell just the TOB for about $18.00.

Bizzy's right, of course :D

On the other hand, the labor to change a TOB out is ree-dikulous. If you plan on keeping the car for a while I'd go the extra few $$ now and skip having to put another in later.

Just my $.02.
