I'm in the middle of my transmission replacement on the SHO Plus and got the transmission removed just fine. Problem is that when I went to replace the T.O.B. it wouldn't slide onto the shaft of the replacement transmission. There is a very thin sleeve on the shaft making it too wide for the T.O.B. to slide on. HELP!!! Do I just need to buy a different T.O.B. that is wider? How can I remedy this?

Thanks Guys!

You can also remove that sleeve very carefully and use the TOB you got if you want to as well. If you heat it (not too much, you don't want to damage the input seal) it will slide right off.

Ooooo, I don't know if that would be too wise. That sleeve is made of steel and is meant to protect the shaft from wearing. Just get the right TOB and do it the right way.

Yeah, I figured I'd just get the right T.O.B. for the transmission. I'll get it in the morning and finish up. Thanks for all of your input!

Also, measure your clutch disk....I suspect that you got an old 9.25" disk and not the new revised (91 and later) 9.75 incher.

if it IS the 9.25 inch kit, it will work just fine, but if you want the best for your car, get the 9.75 inch kit and a new TOB with sleeve.
