There are 2 black actuators on the upper intake manifold with an "L" and "R" on them. My question is which way do the hoses from them point? When I took apart the manifold to clean all the ports, the lines were facing AWAY from the throttle body. Now I'm being told that they are supposed to be pointing TOWARDS the throttle body. Please can someone answer this dilemma I'm having? Would this change the performance of the vehicle? All I know is that they control the butterflies to open when the car hits 4000 RPMs for the secondary's.

They point down and towards the throttle body. The lines will run under the intake. Google "SHO intake" and look at some pictures to give yourself a reference.

Just looked at the pic you posted, you have them on the wrong sides.

This is how I bought the car. The guy before me must have put them on backwards. What would this hurry as far as performance is concerned? Just wondering if this is why my car has been very sluggish and has never had the pull as it should have.

Can you take a better pic of the hose routing on the back of the intake? The right side of the pic you have posted. It's hard to see where everything is going but if those hoses are hooked up wrong then you would be driving without any secondaries.

Wow, I can't believe I've been driving it like this. No wonder I couldn't hear the horns of the secondaries!

Running the plates backwards would not effect them working or not. They would still open and close as normal. You have other problems that effecting them not opening or closing.

Well I cleaned the crap out of them because they were coated with blackness all over. So, if they were getting stuck before, they sure aren't now! Now as gas as vacuum leaks go, I have no idea if all the houses are run right and all the vacuum lines are flowing correctly. Is there a diagram out there for that?
