is there a write up on changing the battery cables.

I noticed while do my 60k that my red battery cable has a crack in teh insulation. well I taped it up as a temporary measure but figure that it need to be changed out. I wondered if there have ever been a write up on how to do this like what do the battery cables connect to that they would need to be removed from and then reinstalled. thanks!
