Is The Shifter Supposed To Spin ?

obviously my shift handle spins, but is the who thing supposed to turn ? I have to hold the rod with vice grips to get the shift handle off

Be very careful not to miss shift until you fix this.

well, the car isnt running right now, but I will address this problem before I get it running. What could have come loose ???
