No, I meant why such a discrepancy between the 2 sensors and why not use the one that's showing less heat soak to possibly make more power? I assume iat2s are the more accurate ones hence why he uses that
I do know each sensor measures air temp at different points in the system. AJP is using the one most relevant to speed density calculations (after turbos). What I'm trying to inform people of is that the stock tune SCT reader IAT's are not comparable with a custom tune IAT.

Brad uses IAT2 because that is the true air temp going into the motor.
