Hi all! I just recently picked up a 2014 Non PP SHO and am enjoying it so far, especially after the Torrie tune, Airaid intake and custom exhaust. I tried searching for this and also checked on the owner's manual, but couldn't find an answer.

When I have my intellikey in my pocket and I have the ignition on with the car running, every time I exit the car and any one of the doors are closed, the car alerts me by beeping the horn twice. I think it's a cool feature that it does that, however, if I'm leaving the engine on and getting out of the car to say, be a gentleman and walk around to open the passenger side door for my girlfriend when I'm picking her up, or just to load something into the trunk, unless I keep the driver's side door open while doing all that, the car horn will beep twice every time I close a door or even the trunk. Is there any way at all that I can shut that alert feature off??? I know it sounds petty, but even if I'm getting the car out of the garage so everyone can jump in, and it's early in the morning in my neighborhood, and I, for whatever reason need to get out of the car to help load it, it just seems irritating to either have to leave the driver side door open while doing that or shut the car off completely just to avoid the horn honking with that 2 honk alert feature.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The simple, but expensive, solution is to get married. Then you never have to worry about opening the door for your girlfriend or being allowed to go out late at night.... j/k

My 2011 SHO and my wife's 2010 MKT don't do that but I don't recall ever needing to shut the feature off. The likely place to be able to control that would be through the features enabled or disabled in the driver information center of the dash. Have you scrolled through those features?

Sounds like you are getting the "Keyless warning alert" that is mentioned on page 108 of your owner's manual. The only solution might be to leave the fob in the car when you get out to open the passenger door or help load the car. Make sure you know the keypad code just in case....

Hahaha good one!

Yeah I scrolled through those before, trying to see if there was an option to change it, but I didn't see any. I figured leaving the key in the car was another option, but my OCD don't allow me to do that without being extremely paranoid that someone could just jump in and drive off with my car lol.

I'll keep searching for a way to disable it. I feel like I should ask the dealer, but I don't have much faith in them because when I forgot my door lock code and lost the little paper they gave me with it, they were going to charge me $150 to hook up a computer to find the code when I found it was on a label under the dash. They could've just told me that.
