Ordered! :dribble:

Just out of curiosity, what is different about the black couplers and the blue ones? The obvious is a $10 difference, but why would the black ones need different clamps for the crossovers?

They are different wall thicknesses, with the black hose being slightly thicker. Thus the OD of the black hose is larger, so you need a clamp with a slightly larger clamping range. The OEM clamp range is o.k. for the runner and plenum for both wall thicknesses/OD's, but doesn't quite cover the OD of the crossover tube for the black tube. As noted before, the plenum clamp will fit just fine over the black crossover tube.

Thus, in the mean time, until we offer new clamp kits, if you get black hoses, either use plenum clamps, or other clamps.

We'd have to do another run (i.e. multiple clients) in red (or any other colour, for that matter) to have another colour.

I would like to be in a run on red, but want to know if it's possible that I can have mixed colors to match the intake. I would like red secondary housing couplers and black cross over and plenum couplers. Is this possible?

Anything is possible, as long as you don't mind waiting ... and I know ahead of time what I'm in for.

How many people would buy red (or a mixed set of mostly red) if we did a run of red?

As I told Josh, I'm in for the red couplers.

Who else?

I'm in for a set of red also, possible 2. Mixed would be great -red short runners & black tanks!

I'm itching to get the red and black set, too. :naughty:

Josh says he needs at least 5 sets with deposits to get this going.

Come on people, who else?

The stock ones have a reducing wall shrinking the air flow. Any issue with not having this in place? Seems like it would have been easier to make these without this in place so it leads me to think it has a function.

They're a restriction. When I installed my BBB's, I shaved those walls off with a razor knife.

The only purpose they have is to reduced the chance of an intake leak by being wedged between the runners and secondary housings, making for a better seal than clamps alone would.

on the blue/red sets, is the red visible when installed? I am going just for a blue color highlight on the intake.

It might be barely visible, I need to install a set to see.

In the mean time, ask Karson Swartz if he installed his yet.

Hey guys for those who dont know im Karson. Mine are the blue with red inside and once they are installed i dont even see the red. If anyone is concerned with the inside color dont worry about it. It pretty well disapears.
