Need help/advice with hooking up in the interior door handle rod. I think the plastic piece that holds it onto the latch broke off and the rod won't stay in place.

I have spent alot of time on these but still can't get them to work properly... :madflame::bonk:

The rod clip sould slide onto the rod sideways. If that tab is missing, it will fall off.

What can I use to keep the rod in place??

arent the doors different? the gen 2 is a longer car than the gen 1.

The doors are very similar but very different at the same time. The wiring is different and the interior door handles are set up differently but can be interchanged I am told. A gen 1 or gen 2 door will bolt on and close just like the original door that was on the gen 1 or gen 2.

Me thinks this is what you need.
Took me long enough to locate it.
And I only have one.
PM me your address.

If it's drivable and you want to make the trip I could help.
Just buy me lunch.

I think I might take you up on that! :thankyou:

I have a bad wheel bearing currently but I am doing some "upgrades" and the spindle is being replaced during the work.
