Idle fix and Problem

I'm having a little idle problem with mine now also. After driving for a bit a putting it into park the idle will crawl up to about 2K RPM. The only way to get it back down is shutting it off. Also sometimes after driving and putting in park the idle will revup and down from 600-900? ANYONE ELSE HAVING THIS PROBLEM?

I had the same problem it seemed to come and go for quite a while. I wasn't too worried because it only happened when I came to a stop after a 2+ hours of driving.

If i had to guess I might think it's one of the following:

Faulty gas filter
idle control motor is getting old, or possibly a bad ground wire for it.(I had the same happen to my other ford)

Who Knows? it seemed to fix itself. I haven't had it happen it quite a while.

More than likely the IAC. You can try to clean it with WD 40 or some other mild solvent.

where is the IAC. any pics of it and how to adjust and clean?
