I took off the intake to paint it. Today I put everything back on again. Except where the secondary control box is. I connected the clip thing but under it looks like there is another vaccume line. Not the very bottom one, but the one in between the clip thing and the bottom vaccume line. I can't find the line that goes there anywhere  And I am leaking coolant like crazy. It sounds like the secondary's are opening. But the coolant  Has anyone had this problem. It looks as though the coolant is leaking out of the intake ports that go to the snakes. I replaced the gaskets, and put them on the right way. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. :thumb:

Coolant Issues: It sounds like you did not hook up the coolant hoses correctly or tight enough under the throtle body. They are PIA to get back on correctly. There is no way coolant can be coming out of the intake unless you dropped it several times.

As for the second vacuum line. Did you rehook the round canister thing that connects to the back of the intake? If I am understanding you right, that hose goes there, and another hose goes to the rear of the intake.

I hooked up all coolant hoses correctly. I found out where the leak is most likely coming from. It is the hose that is above the thermostat housing, it goes from the block into the cab of the car. It has a buldge right after the metal krimp. So I think this hose is gone. There was no coolant in the manifold (sorry I didn't mean in the intake manifold) just outside of the ports. I think the coolant spat out and deflected up there.

The vaccume line issue has been fixed. I didn't know that the hose that runs to the butterflies is the same hose that is connected to the secondary control box.

I hope you know what coolant hose I am talking about :)

The hose is rubber coming out of the area where the thermostat housing is and it is also rubber where it enters the cab of the car. The middle section is exposed metal hose. I hope this helps clarify some things. If you know what hose I am talking about, am I able to buy them anywhere

Thanks again. :thumb:

Yes, it is the heater core hose. No, you cannot buy them. :frown:

But you can chop off the metal crimp and slide a new hose over the existing metal pipe w/ an Ideal clamp.

I thought it was the heater core hose :frown: Oh well. Good idea, I will find a hose of the same size and run it over the metal pipe. It'll work :thumb: Thanks again for the help :salute:

You were right. We (my friend and I) didn't hook up all the coolant lines. We kinda forgot one  It sure showed us it's wrath when it started spewing coolant all over my tranny and drive way. Bow down to the furious forgotten coolant hose :hail: The problem seems to be fixed. Next time I know to pay special attention to ALL of the coolant lines and vaccume lines. Thanks again for your help. :thumb:
