AAARRRGGGHHH!!! My 93 ATX drives and steers just fine but the cornering ability doesn't seem up to par and the suspension doesn't feel as tight as I think it should be. Can anyone tell me what I can do to get a tighter suspension without replacing everything? I was thinking of replacing the rear sway bar bushings and end links (one replaced), metal front end links, and front and rear strut mounts. Does this sound like a good combo? Does anyone have any suggestions??? Thanks in advance!:hail:

I had a '95 ATX with 150k on the completely original suspension, down to the endlinks and struts. I tore it down and replaced every single component. KYB struts, MOOG CC's (cut), and TPR bushings everywhere. This IMHO restored the car to it's rightful stock form. However what I feel made the biggest difference in handling was changing the sway bars to a 24/26 combo and adding subframe connectors. You can just swap the sway bars and add the connectors and have a world of difference, but you won't corner well without eventualy goin through it all. Remember, this is a 13 year old Taurus.

I have almost 25k on that setup and I love driving my SHO - I just had the subframe connectors put on - and it is a night and day difference, turns the car into one solid piece of metal.

Also, I wouldn't bother replacing the sway bar bushings on your stock bars - worthless.

The SHO is a blast with a sweet suspension setup.

As mentioned already, these cars are getting old.

To bring the suspension back, you have a long list of items to replace.

But it is all worth it in the end;)

I replaced my rear struts, springs and endlinks. It made a HUGE difference. I'm going to do the fronts this coming weekend.

are you happy with the sway bar set at 24/26 thought about that for my car

The 24/26 combo is awesome! I have it on my '93 with intrax/tokico.. also F/R STBs but those IMO don't do as much as the sways.. if you're looking for some I have a few, 80 shipped each. ;)
