My first time at a 1/4 mile strip
Me and my brother went to Rockingham Dragway in hopes of passing the record (11.542 by bpd1151) who had it the last four years. I do realize others have surpassed the record this year.

I was still working to get the tuning finalized when we got there.

We had to keep moving the shift point, lowering the boost, and the retarding the timing due to an issue with the second gear not wanting to go into third without hitting the limiter.

But our best run was a 11.694 at 122.73 mph.

We did have one run that was 123 mph but all of most of them were all within about 1/2 sec with tuning changes.

I don't want to go to using nitrous, so I am left with lighter weight wheels, getting a ford GT cam blank (but I dont want to pull the engine again, removing the exhuast, and the GH intercooler or other intake temperature reduction.

Or if there was some way to improve my 60'.

Nice pass. The 60 foot needs help. Are you still on the stock torque mounts? Did you play with tire pressures at all?

Yes, stock torque mounts. The track was well prepped and I didn't have an issue with traction, so I think i was at 35 psi for each.

I would think about running the 26 psi in the fronts and 35 to 40 psi in the rear. That will get you into the low 1.70's and that will be worth .2 tenths.

Hella great pass! I'm confident you'll get there.

Between your own revisions on your end, as well as the individual, and collective suggestions provided by members/fellow owners here.

I haven't had a chance myself to get to the track with the new trans mounts in place, but it seems plenty have, and more importantly, have seen a significant improvement in their overall times.

Keep plug'n away at it, and keep posting results. Including what I suspect will be even faster times ahead for you!

Just because you don't think you are spinning...doesn't mean you aren't. I have gone 1.77 to the sixty tune only. Tire pressures were what I recommended. I was launching around 3 psi of boost at 2600 rpm, with stock tq mounts and stock flower wheels with Conti Extreme DWS06's. Fully documented.

How do you know you aren't spinning? Your sixty shows that it's not hooking great or you aren't launching at all. Nice times

I have about the same 60 ft time as you but I've only been able to get a 8.27 1/8th mile (haven't run 1/4 yet) so you definitely have room to work. If you get the launch down you'll for sure smash your times. Good luck!

Congrats on that pass! 11.69 is an awesome pass! Yeah, I'll even go as low as 22 psi in the front. What kind of tires? Lowering springs?
