. I have a questions to ask about the electronics on headbang my car. I had to jump start my car and I hooked the jumpers wrong on the Jimmy that was helping me. Since then my climate control will not work and the fan is on high all the time. There is no speedo and the trans shifts are not right. I am worried that there might be other things out that i do not know about! I found one 10 amp fuse burned out under the dash and none in the engine bay. I got a new ECU and after looking at the problem I do not think that the ecu went out. My car is in limp mode and starts fine and idles fine. The ABS light is on in the dash to. Everything else works fine like the lights and the alarm. I am going to scan it, but I have a feeling that it is not going to give me anything to work with. Has anyone ever had this problem before? Are there fusable links somewhere I do not know or fuses somewhere eles in the car? I have to get my cams welded on 05-19-2003 and I need to have it fixed by then to drive up. Let me know what you think and let the bashing begin of my stupidity. thumb headbang

Dude, that blows... but I might try disconecting the battery, for 15 minutes or so. If you've already tried that, well then I've been absolutely no help what-so-ever. Best wishes.

SHO does not have any fusible links listed in my service manual, just fuse box at dash and under hood. pull and inspect each fuse one by one. I once had a fuse go bad that only had a hair line crack.

Sounds like major electronic damage.

The blower running at high speed is probably the blower control module or the Remote Climate Control module. The speedo and ABS light means the ABS brain is probably dead. This may be the tranny shifting problem too.

Off handed guess... constant control relay module. If that gets fried, it'll mess up a whole bunch of things.

Mine did this when the PCM shit the bed. Well I installed a chip that was not programmed for my car (FING FORD). They did a reprog and never told me, when I installed it the fans went on high and the theft light lit up

"when I installed it the fans went on high and the theft light lit up"

So you stole the chip, Kirk, or just drove like you stole it and thought the fan on high would get the car going faster? wink

I am going to run a scan on the car tonight. Will that show a code for the Constant Control Relay. If it does where is it located at? I hope i can get this fixed soon. I really do not want to tow it to Madison on the 19th. I will post the codes tonight and see if the experts on shoforum can help solve the problem. I was told by Performance plus that it might be the constant control relay. I will be on the look out...josh cheers headbang

I scanned my car today and cleared out the codes for the ABS and fixed the shifting problem. So they work now, but now my climate control does not work or my spedometer. There were no other codes beside my power mirror heater saying that there was a short circuit somewhere. Any ideas on what is wrong? shrug finger cry Thanks..josh

I have an appointment with an auto electrician on Friday. If anyone knows what could be causing this problem let me know so i can fix it myself. I am starting to lose my patience with the car and going to have to drop some money for my mistake. Let me know, thanks...josh cry shrug thumb
