I usually say do them when you do your 60k-100k service when the valve covers are off, well if your that far down you have to take the intake off too. If you do it replace the plugseals plugs and wires while you are in there, you can get the seals which are felpro's for around $90 and you get the valve cover gaskets too.

The Fel-Pro VS50378R seal set is $71.99 from AutoZone.com. Look up the part number for a 1991 SHO. For some reason, their web site doesn't list the set for all years of the SHO.

Well, I've come to a sad conclusion today. After I fix the spark plug seals, and go through the engine, this high miled beast is up for sale. I can't handle these repair bills. I'm going to go my dads route, 5.0 muscle. Thanks everyone for the help.

Well dave the thing is most every used car that is used will need some repair. With your SHO it is a special car with special needs. But once things are finished you will most likely have a car that is ready to go again for many more miles before its next service. Just think about it.

My 94 atx had the oil fillup, I sucked the oil out of each well once every 3-4 months, as I did not get a chance to do the seals.... it was a bit repetitive, but lasted a while...

what other repairs do you have to do that is getting so cost consumed? u will be much happier with the results when u do the seals, plugs, and wires. stick with it man. too many people have the mustangs. stick with the SHO. It's a sleeper.
