Is there any way of telling if my pins have been welded In with out pulling it, (or going out and doing a huge launch and see if it explodes) the reason I ask is the guy I got it from didn't say nothing untill I asked him the he just said yea I did it when I did the clutch and motor he is a tranny guy tho, I'm really courios as to what's all done to this car I notice more stuff each day. I was under it today and noticed some brackets and little stuff painted red. If rode in two diffrent stock mtx shows before and this one is byfar faster than stock.

Unless the owner told you I doubt it. It is relatively new. Most have a Quafie.

The only way to check is to pull the case apart, unless you decided to like bore a hole in the side of the case to peer inside, and thats not really the greatest of ideas.

Ran mine for ever without a cover due to it breaking into a gazillion pieces. Never had an issue.

There are a lot of threads on this forum on welding the differential. Look them over and understand them, and then you can ask him what technique he used, or just ask him how many roll pins there are.... stuff like that.
If he is a tranny guy, there is a good chance he is not lying, because lets face it, he already made the sale, so there is no gain in exaggerating the facts now.
