Does anyone have a clue as to how to change a break light on a 3rd gen (1997) SHO?

I've managed to remove the cardboard/carpet from the inside of the trunk, but I see no easy way to get to the break light !?!?!

The owners manual is useless.

I don't want to have to pay a mechanic to change a light.

Can someone help before I get creamed from behind?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah ... I don't have a light in the spoiler, but I have a light in the back window. THAT one they detail in the owners manual! headbang (But NOT the one in the back light!) cuss

I'm hoping that I can figure this out before I get a ticket. (or get hit!) I have the light bulb, I just can't get to it. DOH!

Are you talking about the lights in the tail lights?

If so, you have to remove the entire tail light to replace the bulb. Remove the 3 nuts that hold the tail light in place and remove the assembly from the car. The tail light has 2 bulbs, turn them 'counter clock wise' and the bulb will come out of the assembly. Then reverse the order and you're done.

Ahh .... that's the trick. THANKS!

I have only found one bolt so far ... I'll rip it apart further when I get home. (I'm working 14-16 hour days lately ... it's tough to find time to think much less work on stuff like this.)

I *REALLY* appreciate your response. THANK YOU! :D
