How fast are you guy's?

I have a SLO and I'm curious how close I'm running to the kind of times stock or lightly modded Gen 3 SHO's are running. Here are the details:

Best 1/4 Mile Time at Present:
-15.636 @ 89.99mph

That time is with my stock 15's and well worn all-season 205/65R15's. Thanks guys!

In most cases, a genIII stock will run anywhere from 1-5 tenths of a second quicker than you at your current times.

My current best time is about 2 tenths of a second quicker.

I really don't think anything I have done to my car makes any difference in power either.

15.0@94 1/4 mile is not always the better way too tell. some reason I come out of the hole for the first 20 feet like a pig (thens is on)

My best was 15.684 (Norwalk Raceway) @ 89.** mph. All I have as far as "mods" are K&N Air Filter & Flowmaster Exhaust. I also run with no air filter at the track only.

It definitely depends on the driver. I got Karen's 99 down to 15.1 @ 93.xx, but Karen could only get a 16.2 @ 87.xx out of it.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm pretty shure the car will hit a 15.5, or maybe even a 15.4, as is. Unfortunately, I've had a bit of wheel spin slowing my launches, and the temp has been between 85 and 95 degrees both the times I've been to the track. I couldn't test to find out this Thursday though, despite mid 70's temperatures, because I just put the 18's back on and they **** straight line. Oh well. Maybe I'll make another run this fall before the track closes. Anyone else have a SHO that's stock or close to it that want's to post their times.

Jeremy ran a 16.3 last time out. I beleive he said the tranny id to blaim, but that might be just part of it.

Forget about the quarter mile. I got a 5.0 Stang that will smoke it. A V8SHO swinging back and forth along the Pig Trail in Northwest Arkansas for an hour with the BEL980 clearing the way is deep-down soul stirring. That's what we are living for... Take your SHOs into the country boys and pull some G force..this ain't no 0 to 60 phenom. Tons of cars will beat us there..you got an automated suspension that loves to road race and a V8 snarl that adds to the fun every time you punch it. SE's?....an SE takes my granny to lunch at the buffett. This is SHO country.

Scott is exactly on target. This was never designed to be a quarter mile machine. It comes alive on windy back roads. Get some good tires and get out of the city.

I do agree that canyon carving can be a whole lot of fun though, and with Eibach, KYB, and 8" wide patches of expensive Falken rubber, I can really enjoy those canyons.
