How do you remove the Cruise Control Buttons?

I was wanting to clean the contacts on my cruise control buttons because it is not working. It has worked once riding down the interstate but ever since then it hasn't worked. I was also wanting to clean the contacts ont he wiper control so my intermittent wipers work properly. Anybody know how to remove these so I can check and clean them.

For the wipers use a small flat head screw driver to pry off the end of the stalk. As for the cruise...no idea.
