How do I remove my center console (5spd)?

I am getting a new shift boot from Wheelskins and I need to know how to remove the console.

Lots of stupid details is preferrable.

Screws in front on sides.

Screws in rear under elbow rest.

Screws under shifter cover.

You need to pop the plastic covers off of each of these areas.

Oh, don't forget to unscrew the Shifter Ball too!

What model year is your car? Gen I or Gen II?

Must be a Gen 2 if he is taking the whole console out to do it... Atleast i hope.....

1)Hook a chain to it

2)Hook chain to pickup or car.

3)Put pulling car or truck in drive and stomp it to the floor!!

4) That method will remove it in seconds!!

if it has the '93-95 console.. remove the rubber cupholder thing.. take out the ONE screw under it, then just pull the top of the consol off.. no need to take out the entire thing. But you have to pull hard, the clips are pretty stiff.

NO WAY! I tried to figure this out the other day with my friend. Broke one of the corners of the sift boot. That sounds so easy...too easy. Thanks!
