So, I just installed some brand new horns, and I now have functioning horns. However, every bump and pothole that I go over, the horn goes off. Sometimes just a beep, sometimes a LONG blast. Any ideas on how to solve that problem?

That's the rare bump alert option.

Check your wiring, or maybe the steering wheel. If the car didn't have horns, maybe you've found the reason.

It's the horn pad "switch" on the wheel. My old 89 did this also.

I ended up taking the pad apart (make certain it isn't deformed inwards) and replacing the original foam insulating pad with custom-cut 1/8" packing foam to fix it.

I had a car that did that once. It was so freaking annoying. Mine ended up being an exposed wire that kept shorting.

That was it. I couldn't find any appropriate foam, so I found a kitchen sponge and cut it to size/shape. Horn now works.

That would be annoying/suck for it to go off like that all the time!

Mine was parked in the driveway and, as the interior heated up on summer days, would start to beep intermittently. Eventually, it wouldn't stop... drove my daughter crazy.

Mine did that as well. Pain in the rear, as it would do it in the middle of the night, as well.
