holy bad gas mileage batman revisited

Thanks to the suggestions of others I have increased my fuel mileage 4 mpg!! I'm now averageing a little over 24 on the highway. The culprit was the thermostat which I shoulda figured since it wasn't warming up. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped and after 3000 miles I couldn't be happier. Except now the CEL came on. I haven't pulled the codes yet but will hopefully get to it today. Thanks again.

congrats! it definately saves the wallet some wear and tear. i just pulled 27 mpg yesterday on my trip from waaaay upstate NY to above NYC. my best is 29 so far and im trying to beat it wink but it sure is hard not to mash that gas pedal so you can hear those secondaries.....

It just seems that way because of the extreme gas prices. You're not getting as much out of your fifteen bucks. wink
