The timing belt is on there tight, and was never removed. The car didn't pop before the 60k which in theory all my 60k was: spark plugs, plug well gaskets, valve cover gaskets, water pump. That's it. It sputters and makes 'farting' noises when it's just idling in the driveway, when idleing the noises come out exhaust end. When driving I hear a pop pop pop from engine bay, get on it hard and it has "NO" power whatsoever, and the popping goes pop.......pop......(getting on it hard now)popopopopopopopop(letting off gas now) runs smooth with a few pops until I hit gas again when it starts popping. I did take the plug wires off one at a time, and put them on one at a time to be sure to get the right order. I've heard I should clean my MAF sensor, I looked inside the MAF and see 3 of the terminals have a slight whiteish/greenish and I mean pretty slight coating on them. The car is really undrivable like this, and I'm sure it's something stupid and idiotic that is causing it, any ideas would be appreciated, this is as in depth as I can get into the problem, that's about all there is to the problem, a lot of popping, and 0 power. Thanks guys.

When you are routing plug wires, you must remember that the cylinders on this engine are numbered strangely, like so looking from the front of the engine bay:
1 2 3
<---Yamaha-Ford
4 5 6

Not like most every other V6 in the world, which is like this:
1 3 5
<----everything else
2 4 6

That's strange, when "Everything else" was a V-8 they numbered down one side then the other side. They didn't jump back and forth like you described above. I wonder why they didn't follow the same numbering scheme as the V-8's

Okay, I'm fairly certain I have the plugs and wires installed correctly and in the correct order, everyone seems to say my problem is spark plug related, so maybe I have bad wires or plugs (even though I just changed them?) Otherwise aside from spark plugs and wires what else could be wrong?

I did the same thing as you did with my last 60k, one wire and plug at a time, but somehow, someway I ended up switching the #5 and #6 plug wires. The car ran but it had no power and it popped just like you described. Check out your plug wires first thing, and make sure they are routed correctly. If that isn't it, check for codes.

Due to family problems I haven't had much time to look at or work on the car, but my dad took a hour and put the side of the engine back together since we've pretty much decided it wasn't the timing belt. My dad also followed all the wires for the spark plugs, and lo and behold - even though we took the wires off and replaced them one at a time it seems that the 564 order through us off. 2 of the wires are out of order... I hope they really are out of order, he said he looked kind of fast but he is pretty sure. Need to get the fender wall back in, and the battery, switch the wires and start it to hope it works. Thanks for all the help, you guys are great.
