Heed help!!!

I bought an Apten Chip from a friend that had a 99 sho. Well, I called Apten yesterday and they told me that between the two codes of our sho's that the chip was compatible. When I plug the chip in and try to turn her over it wont start. The theft light blinks very rapidly while I am tryring to start it when the chip is in. When I take the chip out I have no problems at all starting the car.

Anyone have any ideas? Is there something simple thta I am missing? TIA

My buddy has a 99 V6 mustang and jet performance sent him a chip with the wrong computer code and when we installed it the same thing happened. It also still wouldn't start when we took the chip out. We called ford and told then all of the signs the theft light being one of them and they sent us through a number of steps, none worked. Took it to Ford and it turned out that he had to get a new computer. Thankfully he had a warranty. the company sent him the right chip the next time and everything was good.


P.S. They said that they tried to flash the computer and it didnt work but that could be Ford looking for more cash.
