Hey all, just pulled into my parking garage at work and at first I thought it was me driving over noisy shit (you know how parking garages are), but I soon noticed it was my car making that noise when turning 50-75% to the right. May do it on the left as well but I’ll have to test that when I leave later.

Anyways, it makes a rhythm clicking/clunking noise and I just had H&R springs installed a week ago. Just now noticing it (maybe because you can hear everything in a confined space like a parking garage).

Is this normal? Springs settling? wtf!!!

I've had H&R's on my car for about 6 months now, and I had the same issue. Usually noticed it driving in parking lots at low speeds, but it was quiet (AC and Radio had to be off, or else it'd be really easy to miss). I've taken everything apart, put it back together, and had people much more knowledgeable than me look at it and the consensus is that the springs were put in right. May just be something you have to put up with like I do, however, the noise is where the issues start and stop. There's no weird wearing to the tires or any of the suspension/breaks/steering/anything the suspension could work with from what I seen, and the car drives fine, I've been dailying it 100+ miles a day between Orlando and Daytona Beach for the last 6 months so if there's any issues with it, the cars gonna need a new mechanic (and driver lol)

Interesting… well that’s reassuring I suppose. Just weird as shit.

I know it's not what you probably wanted to hear but it gets less concerning with time, I don't hear it at all when my cars up to speed. possibly it could be me not putting the rubber part (Boot i think its called?) that connects the rear springs/front strut towers to the body on correctly, however im not taking it apart and putting it back together a 4th time to try again figure it out lol

I’m pretty attentive and I think I would’ve immediately noticed this noise if it were due to the springs. It’s been about 10 days and like u said I noticed it this morning… I’ve heard talk about strut mounts. Maybe since I’ve driving a bit the strut mounts have “settled”? I heard to replace strut mounts when doing springs, but I didn’t because 1. That’s extra money. And 2. My car has 30k miles. Pretty low. Hmmm.

Some FWD cars will develop a clicking type noise when turning when the CV joints on the axles are worn. It could be that the lowering springs caused the CV joints to operate at an increased angle and made the clicking noise more pronounced. Although it's strange that they would be worn out at your mileage.
