Anyone here with the H&R Sport springs on their SHO? The price is very low (a mere $221 for the set of four here).

If so, how much did you pay to have them installed and your suspension re-aligned, and how much firmer are they than the stock springs? I'm actually happy with the handling of my Performance Pack equipped car but think that visually it could stand to come down an inch or two.

I have them. Paid $250 to have them put in and $100 to have it aligned. I love the feel of them. They really make the car feel alot more sporty then the stock springs (I didnt have the PP). Its not much stiffer in the ride quality but you can definately tell the difference in the corners.

Next step is to replace the POS michelen tires this car came with for the summer.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Sounds as if the springs are a no-brainer, so I ordered a set from Tire Rack.

Are their any quality aftermarket shocks/struts for this car? From my experience using the stock unit with aftermarket springs leaves a less then desirable experience. I realize the car "rides ok" but that probably won't be for long.

I have them on my "Brick" with Max Performance, Extra Load Summer Tires. Definitely rides firmer, but we love it this way! Flex
H & R springs are heavier due to extra weight, and the extra load capacities of Flex. Best part is the great handling improvement.

Highly recommend!

Be sure to check the second link in my original reply to you (post #2 of your thread here) as it includes some important information in regards to alignment issues and resolution of same.

Yep, I ordered the same bolts. I see some on the thread claimed not to need them, but it's cheap insurance.

Good luck and please post up some pics when you get her done! :thumb:

Will do. My initial plans are simply to lower it and have the grille removed and painted body color (Kona Blue) with black inserts; haven't decided between the Livernois tune or the Hennessey "Maxboost 445" package yet.

The general consensus around here is that Hennessey stuff is overpriced and not very well made.

I would go with the Livernois tune without hesitation.

I've e-mailed Rick and will probably be getting the Livernois package (Corsa exhaust, Airraid intake, and tunes) in a couple of months.
