I'm in the process of revitalizing my 91+. It has 111000 miles. Anyway, the suspension is getting replaced shortly. I'm going with eibachs and KYB's. I've heard that with any lowering springs it is highly recommended to get an H-brace. Ok, thats fine. I'm trying to find out which one is best, best fitment and such. Any opinions are welcome. Talk to you folks later.

SHO Shop has them for $99, but I got mine from Mark Nunnally (drivinhard) for $50. He's on honeymoon right now though; I'm not sure when he'll be back. His H-brace is quite a solid piece; I haven't installed it yet, but I will next time I get a chance to crawl under my car. thumbs_u

Yeah, Mark's look sweet and are easy to install. He gets them special made in batches and may or may not be doing them again any time soon. If you want some quickly go to Nook's place at Prosuspension.com. He's go a nice array of stuff at good prices.

Not necessary, just a nice upgrade I'm told. I have the 26mm rear bar with TPR bushings back there and I can feel the flex in the rear torque box when I'm autocrossing. It just makes the car feel imprecise, which it is. It's a Taurus, for chrissakes. The H-brace should be a "must upgrade" if you go to tubular control arms back there.

Hey Fred, have some folks had a problem with Phantom Roadworks? I just found out about that site not to long ago. I was leaning towards them since as you said they are pretty cheap. I was also thinking of getting some of their SFC's. Talk to you later.

I may get myself banned for even mentioning Phantom on this site, as Greg Raciti & Jeremy Thomas both have had serious issues with the former Spoolit Performance.

I have not had any major problems with them. My H-brace came in with a hole mis-drilled, & frigged it up trying to mod it rather than send it back (at which point I should have eaten it). I ordered a replacement & they sent it out n/c & quickly, too.

I just ordered a set of SFCs from them yesterday, so we'll see what happens there. If I get 2 for 2, I'll be thrilled.

H brace is a good idea, and cheap. With Eibach springs, with faster rate, might reconsider and go with Tokico or Koni. I talked with Eibach technical support and they agree strongly. call them.

I think the valving in the Koni's and Tokico's are really the only ones that are matched for the firmer rates of the Eibach and Intrax springs.

Like John V. said, get the H-brace it really helps to anchor the rear suspension and it's a cheap upgrade.
