It's def. changed the personality of the car. The only thing I wish is that there was an on/off switch for the hard shifts, so I could have it smooth like normal most of the time. But that's minor & well worth it.

The first time I floored it I wasn't ready for the 1-2 shift  but the car is much more fun now.

Can't wait to get a Wideband & start my Custom intake.

No, just mail order from Paul Nimz. Car is totally stock still, Have the stuff for a CAI, but I'm going to wait until I finish my custom UIM, get a wideband & do some data logging to get it dialed in.

i've always been a little confused..so did you buy a xcal2 or x3 and send it to him,or do you buy it from him w/the tune?

Bought an X3 w/ tune from him. It was cheaper than buying on my own & getting a tune from him.

As for changes made, shifting firmness is much higher, guessing the shift point is higher, though I haven't paid attention to that. Also there is more ignition adv, though part of it is that it's cooler than last month. I'm gonna geuss the feul map has changed some as well.... but for specifics I would say talk to him. Also it seems like the torque converter stays locked more.

Overall the car seems to run a little better, but It did get it's 150k checkup just before so I'm sure that accounts for most of it running better. The shifts are much stronger, it's not as sluggish around town & better off idle than before.

I would agree with what I was told before buying... in stock form I might not gain any power, but in drivablity it is a whole different car.

:thankyou:

Glad you like it. You can soften up the shifts a bit with the user adjustable settings. You probably have to load the tune again and choose that option. I'm not sure as I have never used that function.

If not then let me know and I'll send you another tune.

No, just got a new one last night. Shifts are as nice as they can be for 106k+ miles.

Yes, you have to re-download the tune to adjust parameters.
