Got the new fuel pump, final questions before installation, veteran help appreciated!

Well here it is, the new Walbro 155LPH unit. What else do I need for the installation? I've heard about a check valve, is that already in the unit somewhere or separate? And will this pump fit in perfectly or does something need to be modified??

All I bought for mine was the pump...and the tank. When they took the straps off I had the "rust factor" take it's toll and it popped a hole in my tank where the straps were.

The sending unit can be bought, but not absolutely necessary providing that it's in good working order. (Although I'd say it's advisable)

My new pump works just fine however my gas needle is a little off. It reads less in the tank than what's really there.

Also, have some electrical tape handy. I'd suggest you wrap those straps that go around the gas tank with it before you reinstall them. It'll add a little protection against them welding themselves to your tank with rust.

Looks good. How about new gasket/lock ring for the tank. Maybe have spare nuts and bolts and a long breaker bar in case of extreme rust.

If that pump is for a Mustang you will need to get a Taurus Filter Sock.

Be very careful and use plenty of WD40 on the strap bolts. There is good write up on fuel pump replacement in the "how to" section: http://www.shoforum.com/fuelpump/FuelPump.html

I replaced mine by myself, another set of hands would have made it alot easier.

URGENT!
I checked the link, and after recently having the car up on jacks for a rear brakejob, it "seems" like a fairly easy job, but by the looks of the straps and everything else underneath, it looks like that something will break off...
As well, I'm having a shop do it on Tuesday, if I went after it on my own, I'd be on it for days I'm fearing, plus I know something will break, and I'd probably spill the tank or something. ...
Anyways, I need a different sock then and gasket? I saw SDPATTs link about the check valve, so I take it I need to get that piece as well then?
And will the shop know to cut the pump a bit to make it fit or are they going to confounded and ****** about it? This is a local shop that has a discounted rate with the local SHO/SVT club.

Oh yeah, Beth, that sending unit is that whole round piece with all the hoses and such?

And another side question, when I pull up codes for fuel pump circuit failure, where is this circuit found?
