What is a good pad and rotor combo? I am upgrading to the 96 brake upgrade on my 95ATX and I am also doing a brake upgrade in the rear if SHO Source sends it anytime soon. Just looking for a good pad and rotor combo. I was going to go with Hawk pads but I am undecided on rotors. It's mainly a dd but I drive it pretty hard all the time and I tend to warp rotors pretty fast. I wasn't planning on going with slotted or cross drilled but I do like the looks of the cross drilled. I see some inexpensive cross drilled on ebay but my experience is you get what you pay for and I don't want garbage rotors.

I agree with Kelvin drilled and slotted rotors crack over time and can cause a serious safety issue.
I went with plain duralast mach 1 rotors on my brake upgrade then painted the rotors hat and the area that is unswept by the pads with hi temp header paint to keep the rust away.
So far ive had the upgrade done for 6 or 7 months and it still looks great.
As for pads,id go with the Hawk's.

Cryo treated rotors with black anodized hats (from Tirerack.com) and Akebono street performance pads work great and no rusty stuff. A few more $ but better quality and they ship same day.
