FWIW, I have ran a 1.94 60FT on stock axles and slicks.
But, I broke 3 axles that day!

My first time ever at a track with my 94 MTX stock (only mod is catless Y). On street tires with a junk pressure plate & TOB, i managed 2.4 60' and 15.5 @91. 950ASL

Damn sea level must really make a huge difference.

Yes....huge!!

Really not that much for our cars from sea level to 1000' or so (like around here). Really quick cars see better times near sea level. IIRC, Englishtown in NJ is an NHRA track at sea level, and a lot of National records are set there.

In the mountain areas (above 3000'), times REALLY suffer. Although s/c & turbo cars don't lose as much.

Slips? My best 60' in my STi is a 1.8 and that was with launch control.

Need to work on that!!

I was getting consistent low 1.8s in the LGT which has no LSD up front.

Kenny Meir (guy on the V8 list) had his STI in Memphis in '06 before his did all the serious mods (and running on E85). He was getting 1.7xx 60' times by just revving and dumping the clutch. I took a coupla rides down the strip with him, and a 1.7 DEFINITELY felt quicker than my 1.8s!!

Yeah, I've only used LC about 4 times. That's about all the practice I have with it. I need to get a better clutch in it as I will be making considerably more power than stage 2 (especially OTS stage 2 that I was running on the track).

It felt like it ripped out of the hole like a ******, coming from the SHO where my best 60' was a 2.5... Yup, my best was a 2.5 (I had better 60' times in my STOCK SHO). :)
