Hey people. I plan on installing my GM rear control arms tomorrow and received the package of 8 sleeves and 4 spacers from Josh at Sho Nut. I know where the sleeves go, but where exactly are these 4 spacers supposed to go?? I'm guessing between the spindle and the inboard side of the control arm bushings. I planned on using fender washers on each side of the control arm bushings, but where exaxtly do I replace 4 of the washers with the 4 spacers I received??

Thanks,
Andrew

the 4 spacers go in the box where the arms attach to the body. You'll understand when you pull everything apart. The arms are slimmer at the ends than the stock pieces so the spacers eat up the extra room left.

You use the adjustable control arms from Grand Prixs and related cars. I got mine from a GTP and Alero. You need them from 2 cars as you needa total of 4.

I will be making some soon though......

Hi I'm new, could you mention what years you need them from (each car only has 2 adjustable correct?). There is a local place that has a LOT of wrecked cars, I plan to call about those and perhaps a few other items.

The main advantage is that you can adjust camber and toe in the rear to a much greater extent than with the stock arms, which are barely adjustable at all, and only in a limited sense.

I think it is like 98 and newer. It is all Grand Prix and related bodies. I got mine from a GTP and Alero. They are tubular and have a coupling nut near one end. I dont have any pictures right now.

I know what they look like, and understand it all.. I just needed to know what they are off of so I can call. I'm not interested in paying $200, I'll custom strengthen my stock ones, chop and reweld or what ever I want..... However if I can get some tubular ones cheap from the auto place (forget name) then might as well.
