Gen1 JBL stereo questions

I owned Gen1 cars some years back but can't remember. Is the JBL system the same as in the Gen2 SHO's? Specifically, does it have a similar 6.5" driver in an enclosed box or does it have a different speaker configuration?

I,m not sure about the head unit, but there is not factory sub in my 91. It has 2 6"x9" in the back, the doors are 6" round speakers with a tweeder, and I haven't replaced my dash speakers yet. Assuming that they are 4"x6", but don't hold me to that.

i know the '89 interior (dash specifically) is quite different than the other Gen 1's, but the JBL speakers mine has are as follows:

Dash tops: 3.5 inch
Front doors: 6.5 inch
Rear deck: 6x8 inch
NO SUB frown

In my '90 (w/ the JBL system) There are 2 6.5" in the front doors, 2 6x8" in the rear deck and 2 6x9" subs under the 6X8"s
