It's actually a 240z with a 302 in it. It's a test bed for our next conversion job. We're taking a 280z and stuffing an injected 302 pushrod motor and a 6 speed in it.

Cool I couldn't tell very well from the video what it was in the background.

The 302 (or any of the GM/Ford pushrod small blocks) are great motors for such swaps, very compact. See the pic of it compared to a 4.6L (looks like a 427 big block)

I measured the LS6 at 4" narrower (header to header) and 6" shorter (intake to oil pan) than the SHO V6.

Where are you guys located? I was out that way not too long ago and almost stopped off at your old exit, then remember that you had moved (Don't know where though).

We moved from Douglasville (15min West of I-285) to Mableton (2min West of I-285). We are 1/2 mile north of the main entrance to Six Flags GA.

No kidding, we can hear people scream from the top of Goliath.

The old shop was 5000sq-ft. The new shop is 9000sq-ft. It's bright, it's clean, we've got clean dry air and killer heat in the winter. It's been a struggle for 2 1/2yrs, but it's all been worth it. The place is really nice.

BTW, that's our first Hybrid (coined phrase) of it's kind parked out front...ever. It's a 79 F-150 with a 4.6L Mustang GT engine and transmission stuffed in it. It is the first one ever done. It took us 2 1/2yrs to make it run and it works very well. 5 speeds and 20mpg. Runs with the factory Mustang computer and works just like it would in a Mustang. The computer runs the fans, the A/C and everything else, just like it should.





So basically, with our wiring harness options and computer tuning solutions, we can put any engine in any car. The next one to get completed it our '70 Cougar. It's got a 6.8L V-10 Ford truck engine and a 5 speed transmission. Cobra brakes, discs x4, an 8.8" differential and a lot of coolness. Here's a couple of pictures...





Then, we've got a '69 Fastback that's getting a complete '03 Cobra powertrain and running gear. That one will defiantly make the noise.

Hmm, we have the 98 SHO, now I just need a gen 4 body with a bad motor. To make it really look like a "gen 4 SHO" though, it would need some sort of body enhancements. Like a subtle ground effects kit, or some modifications of the front and rear bumper covers.

damnit, now I'm going to start playing with pictures of 4th gen Taurus' on my computer.

Yes that would be very interesting I would like to see the second car made up to compare the modfications done to make it run. We just havent had much time to post about it, it was finished about 2 weeks ago. Ive got quite the list of goodies added to this car that I need to complie, we used a Black 02 SES Sport with the balck and Gray two toned interior for our donor car with only 26k on it. The engine was a welded camshaft failure that I picked up 1 year ago and we used a 1998 Donor car seeing that it has the better and faster PCM.

We have been talking about doing this for many years now and now its done! I figured something new to add to the V8SHO community. For along time now people have been asking about doing this and how much, I could never really give a clear quote on how much to complete a project like this one, this is why I built this one for me, I felt that charging somone for all the research and labor time find out what worked and what did not was not right. Now we have all the information and can compile it all to come up with a reasonable price for everyone.

I will post up some pics later for all of you, I dont have a video camera at this time and my camera makes huge videos, Ill try to resolve that for you all this weekend.

Stock wheels won't clear the 13" Cobra brakes.

Someone else asked earlier about the shifter location. It's in the stock location and on the column.

The only thing that makes this car look anything other than a 2003 Ford Taurus is the SHO exhaust tips....and that music coming from under the hood.
