Very nice. We had ours running a week ago. Just gotta get a custom exhaust bent for it (still trying to decide whether to go with side outlet or conventional, and we've been buried in snow since Wed.).

I can't speak for Doug, but for us it was about 70 hours total which included rebuilding a cam failure motor. We probably lost about 10 hours working around a bug in the SCT software that wouldn't disable the PATS module properly. We've also got a '97 Sable getting a SHO drivetrain that should be done soon too.

I just have one question about the wheels. Do they stick out as far as they look in the video. Looks like the wheel is 4 inches wider than the fender.

Just an illusion with the angle and it being up on a jack.

Hmmm... I was wondering the same thing. Whatever, just flare the fenders:)

Looks good. That's something even a learned SHO owner would not expect to see roaring past them. Cool.

What's the C4 vette in your shop? lol

It's actually a 240z with a 302 in it. It's a test bed for our next conversion job. We're taking a 280z and stuffing an injected 302 pushrod motor and a 6 speed in it.

Should be pretty neat. The car in the picture is pretty friggin' fast, but it's still carbureted. Ours will be much nicer.

We just finished the T-bird with the '99 Cobra motor and a 5 speed. That car was fast.

You can get in touch with Kirk, as the plans will be to build them to order. No prices yet, and a lot of it will depend on what (if any) vehicle(s) the customer provides as donor or recipient or both or neither. Obviously someone who calls and wants a (for example) black on black gen 4 V8 and wants us to supply the vehicle and all parts will pay more than the person who has a crashed '98 they want transplanted to a gen 4 car.

Very nice indeed Doug. The total sleeper out of all the Taurus line. Seems like you are pretty busy. What other kinda projects may be in store soon??? I have a feeling I may know what that is already, huh? ****.....:thumb:

Do a 3.2 with a MTX?

That would be nice. I'm guessing the electrical systems would be the biggest hurdle to jump.

Good work though, I like the gen 4 body. The interior is a little nicer on the eyes as well IMO. It's a shame they never made a Gen4 SHO.

"They" didn't. We Did.

For those of you that have ever said, "I wish I coulda' had a V-8"...

Well, here you go.

Th Startup

Th RoadTrip1

Th RoadTrip2

You have no idea how difficult this conversion really is. With a 6yr split in production, the electrical system is incredibly difficult. This is a 2003 Taurus that's now outfitted with a 1997 V-8 SHO engine and powertrain. Installing a '98 powertrain is infinitely [sl]easier.

There seems to be an issue with my registration to TCCoA. Would someone mind cross posting this to the boards over there?

Thanks in advance.
