Whenever I'm listening to my radio/CD player/Tape player in my car I tend to turn it off before I shut the car off. But on a couple of rare occasions that I haven't I'd shut the car off and the radio/CD player/Tape player would still paly for about 8 or 9 seconds. Is this normal or a problem? Please any other Gen II owners out there let me know. I'm sure this isn't a warning sign of the cam faliure, but it might be something. Thanks in advance.

The Gen III will play the radio for a few seconds after turning the ignition switch to the off position. It is normal.

Don't know about the radio or tape player but my cd will shut off when I turn the key off. But this may be because I have the antenna switched and it is seldom on.

Isn't that interesting! My '98 shuts down both as soon as the key is off, though I do get to hear the motor retracting the antenna. Not exactly music, but sound. Of course, I say that about a fair amount of 'music'. :)
