I could have sworn I saw a post about this, but it seems this forum hasn't been around long.

Anyway, the CD in my Gen I is kaput. can I put the CD from my 93 in it?

What would I need to do to put the Gen II sub in my Gen I?

TIA
Matt

Gen 2 CD will plug right in but you will have to trim part of the black plastic dash bezzle. There is a bar seperating the upper and lower holes, on the first gens it has a lip that sticks out between the upper unit and lower unit. On the 2nd gens it's just smooth, you will have to cut off the lip for the unit to lock in place (I have a 2nd gen tape and CD player in my '90). As for the sub; the 2nd gens don't have the rear glove box or the dip in that pan that goes with it, so the sub sit where the dip was. If you put it there on a first gen it will probably hit the bars for the trunk lid. You could mount it somewhere eles though. It should plug right in to the existing sub amp.
