I've read through the several interior swap threads, but none completely addresses various issues with the airbag system - that is, what interchanges and what doesn't.

The list below, is a list of what readily interchanges, based upon Mitchell Collision manuals and information from Ford.

Airbag Computer (1992 only)(1993-95)

Driver's Airbag (1992 only)(1993 only, SHO only)(1994-1995)

Passenger Airbag (1992 only)(1993-94)(1995)

Airbag Crash Sensors (1992-94)(1995 only)

Clock Spring (1992 only)(1993 only, Atlanta/Chicago only)(1994-95 Atlanta/Chicago only)

Steering Wheel (1992 only)(1993 only)(1994-95)

Cruise Control Switch assembly (1993 only)(1994-95)

I'll be editing the above list with more information, as I get time to cross-reference the various sources of information.

The clockspring wiring and how the cruise control switches bolt to the steer wheel are different.

You cannot interchange 1993 parts into a 1994/95 steering wheel. You would have to change/replace the entire assembly from the steering wheel up.

The horn switch is also different. Wiring from the clockspring to the cruise control switches are via two separate 3-wire harnesses in the 93. The 94/95 use a ribbon-wire, just like what is used inside the clockspring, and the harness from both cruise control switch snaps into the plug that extends from the horn switch.

The 1993 closely resembles the steering wheel/airbag setup used in the Mustangs, and is a Lincoln part number. In 1994, Ford change how the cruise control switches both attached to, and wiring into the clockspring, and changes over to a Taurus part number [ F4DC- ].

This was verified both through a Ford parts counter and the physical parts.
