I've tried searching, but couldn't find an answer to this question. What do I need to do to install a Gen 2 SHO Gage panel into my 91' SHO? Thanks for any help possible.

Just R&R it! Same unit, just has a 6 digit odometer instead of a 5.

OT- but my ? is - can a gen 1/2 instrument cluster plug in & fit in a 89??

thats a good question on the 89.... maybe, it would solely depend on the wiring connectors
I know all 90-95 analog gauges are interchangeable.......
you can put a 95 SHO gauge cluster into a 91 SLO for certain........
yeah the Odometer is different, the lighting color might be different through the years, and the gen 2's have different speedometer and tachometer markings, the earlier ones have more marks on the gauge

'89's have a unique instrument cluster, at least in appearance. I don't recall if the back is the same or not. I believe they at least have the same numbers of electrical connectors in the same spots, and the same speedo cable.
