gen 2 dash in a gen 1

i know the gen 2 door panels will fit into a gen 1, but will the gen 2 dash fit into the gen 1?

Physically, yes it would. I'm sure you'd be looking at a major PITA for the wiring though shrug AFAIK, it hasn't been done before.

It should fit just fine. AFAIK the wiring should not be any harder than a normal dash swap. The 1st and 2nd gens have the same buttons, modules, and sensors in the same locations (for the most part). The only things that are different are that the 2nd gens don't have a power antenna button (you will have to add the auto antenna module) and dealing with the passenger side airbag (if you get a dash with the passenger airbag).
