The grille would be an interesting offer, but that price point is way beyond what I would be willing to pay. :salute:

Out in front!
Agreed . I've always wanted one but not that much . Cheers for another new product idea as I'm sure you will sell some.

If you had a fiberglass replica for half that, I'd bet you'd get a lot more interest. Since the price on the original ones fluctuates so much, this would really be a great thing to have available at a consistent price.

I think $225 is a fair price, but it's more than most people will be willing to spend, Id imagine.

It is a bit high.
It would make sense on a pristine car that only needed one little feature to make it terrific. But most of us don't have that situation.
I think something in the $125.00 to $150.00 range would fly off the shelves, and most people don't care what it is made of.
It would make a great little birthday or Chrismas present for someone who is not particularily dear to you. No one spends $225.00 for people in that category.
Think Tim Hortons..... they are making a fortune selling something that costs between one and two dollars.

Also, whether it's fiberglass or carbon fiber, a bit of reinforcement in the vulnerable upper tab area would be welcome. :)

My passenger's side tab has broken twice. It's holding well now with some epoxy but I'm also stupidly careful around it now. Actually pulled the grille off when I did my last clutch job just so I didn't accidentally lean on it.

I think Carbon Fiber would be good for that cool factor, but at that price point I don't see me being able to justify it. I'd bet you'd sell a large amount if they were fiberglass and around the $125.00 to $150.00 range as Sperold said.

Maybe make them Fiberglass with and option to get Carbon Fibre?

Carbon Fiber may not be "needed" but one of the few ways we can easily we can get it made. Fiberglass probably wont cut the price that much.

Fibreglass is only a little bit cheaper than CF, so the price wouldn't drop by more than a bit. Probably still be $200.

I don't think it's an unreasonable price, but I don't have a Gen 1, so count me out.

CF1 had trouble with the carbon fiber weave going into the cut out slots smoothly and evenly when Tim was having the grills made. Police grills for $125 - 150 is not going to happen on such a low volume item. $225 is reasonable since the carbon fiber gen 1+ spoiler was going to cost as much 10 years ago. I learned my lesson about group buys then.

I have all the police grilles I need, but I would sell them to get a CF one. Count me in. I used to have a CF police grille, but I sold it. :(

Ahh, well in that case I'd be down for a CF, as long as the price wasn't obscenely high...

Anyone else? If there is not enough interest we wont have these made. They may cost more then an OEM unit but at least you will be able to find them and wont have to wait for one to pop up on EBay. This is the cost of a low production unit.
