Well, about SHO SHOP, all I have to say is good and bad things, only a couple negatives but all I have to say is that Tom is awesome and never fails to not hook me up or get the problem resolved. I had BIG problems with my catless Y-pipe when I first bought it, I had to cut it, bend it, coat it, and weld it, and the dang thing still leaks and my car always smells like exhaust inside(I still think it leaks from the rear manifold). I also still think my SHO is running Waay too rich and that's after trying to get it de-tuned for running in Colorado, now I'm almost at sea level and she is still running rich, but is SOOOOOO Much faster!! I have ordered thousands of dollars worth of stuff from SHO SHOP (not just for me) and I'd say 90% of it was good quality and a good to semi good experience although I do have to say that I was scared to order from there while Tom was gone.
SP Motorsports was great, I only ordered a couple things from there and I had no problems, and was shipped very quick, awesome experience.
SHO NUT is the shit!! I can't remember who I talked to, I think it was Nick Chrimes? but he was awesome and was very patient with me (thats when I wasn't set-up for Pay pal) though. I ordered my quaife and all of the parts to re-build my tranny through them, I also ordered a host of other goodies and don't have one complaint.
Cincy SHO, I really don't know about them, it's a toss up, I don't really care for them, and I ordered a set of fog lights for my friend from there and it took FOREVER! I also don't really care for the guy who buys all of my crap I put on ebay from there, he always takes forever and when I send him e mail reminders he always responds with something sarcastic.
Gary Morrell, I saved this one for last because I am pretty up-set about this one. First impression was Gary was a great guy and he has a very nice work set-up and it's very clean, he knows his SHO shit and I am 100% behind him on the single exhaust. I had him do a re-build on an 89 tranny for me because I got my car completely stck in third and it wouldn't come out and I thought I blew my diff but it's so low I couldn't see under it and my car was at Home Depot for like 2 weeks in the parking lot, LOL. So I ordered a used 89 and delivered it to him, he broke it down told me what needed replaced and told me not to replace the bearings when I wanted to do a FULL re-build, so I had the parts sent to his house and delivered the quaife to him as well. He put it together pretty quick to tell you the truth and I picked it up and he was dry shifting it for me on the work bench and it seemed really nothcy right from the start as he quoted me "This will be one of the smoothest trannies you'll ever drive" I got it home and had it put in that day with mobil synthetic ATF and man was it notchy, BUT I just figured it was because it was new and needed some break in time, to make a longer story somewhat shorter the third gear was grinding like the month later and 17,000 miles later it was gone again after havng brand new syncros installed during the re-build??? So I E-mailed him (not the nicest E-mail but I just invested 3 grand wouldn't you be ****** too?) and he goes into these long drawn out e mails accusing me of driving my car hard and his (informant) tells him he sees me street racing every weekend?? He also kept reffering to the SHO tranny as pretty much junk and that adding the quaife only puts more stress on the internal components making it a weaker tranny all together??? I still have all of the E-mails as their quite amusing but I eventually apologized to him and was asking him about having the syncros cryo treated and never heard from him again, but he pretty much told me that my clutch is what made the third gear syncro go out and that it wasn't his fault and have a good day, go figure, make what you want out of it but I am still really not to happy abut it but what can I do? It's not my daily driver any more and I have a whole new respect for syncros but I don't have any funds to fix third gear so it will just have to wait I guess.
Man, I am sorry this is sooooo long but at least I got everything out, I hope this doesn't offend any one as I was just trying to share my experiences with you guys. Thanks, sorry about the typing errors/mis-spelled words, it's 3:30 am and I really don't care about mis-spelled words at this moment, LOL, plus I am still trying to get over the fat that I can't even see my white SHO any more the snow is so deep and my titanium 89 out front is almost invisable too, it will be by tomorrow, dang snow!!!!!
